Where the wild things are.
I always get angry when a great book is being turned into a movie. I understand the appeal, but i hate the idea of running the reputation of the book, and applying a new vision on an already good thing. I was therefore a little disappointed when I heard, many moons ago about the Where the wild things are movie. But the fact that Spike Jonze was directing it seemed promising. Rumor has it that Jonze and the studio had some problems. The Trailer looks great, and i hope the movie is as good.

I was never a big fan of that book, so I say "Good for them!"
ReplyDeleteI think I am generally in favour of books being adapted into movies... except in the sense that it might keep the studios from taking risks on original screenplays. But I don't know much about movie-makin'.
