After much freaking and spazzing out, I killed one of these today. I was pretty sure it was an evil demon or a time traveller from the Cretaceous period .Now I feel very bad, because I've learned that House Centipedes feed on spiders, bedbugs, termites, cockroaches, silverfish and ants.

Awww I killed one of those just two days ago too. And now I feel bad as well. However, on reading that it can move 1.3ft/s across a floor, I do feel that my terror was at least a little justified.
